St Peter’s is a beautiful ancient church, dating back some 800 years. Today, services are held every Sunday at 10am. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays this service will be a modern language form of Holy Communion and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays a form of Morning Worship, sometimes Celtic style, with the singing of hymns and songs and a sermon. Tea/Coffee is served after the Sunday morning service.

There is also a service of Holy Communion (Common Worship) every Wednesday at 10am.

On the second Sunday in the month there is ‘Church Rocks’ at 4pm which is an informal time together for young people and their families. In addition to a story and simple act of worship there are craft and other activities and a simple meal.

The church is fitted with a hearing-loop and has wheelchair access via a ramp. There is a small car park in front of the church.


ST PAul’s, ashby

Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe, DN16 2JR

St Paul’s was built in the early twentieth century and is a large red brick building situated in the centre of Ashby. The Sunday morning service takes place at 10am. On the 1st Sunday there is a form of Morning Worship; a service of modern language Holy Communion takes place on the 2nd Sunday and on the 3rd Sunday the worship is lay led. On the 4th Sunday of the month church meets in the adjacent Hall for an informal Café style service. Tea/Coffee is served after the Sunday morning service.

On Thursday there is a service of Holy Communion (Common Worship), also at 9.30am.

The church is fitted with a hearing-loop, has wheelchair access and a toilet with baby changing facilities and disabled access. There is a car park serving the church and the Hall.


church of the holy spirit, Riddings

Built in the 1960s as part of the Riddings Estate and at the top of the hill, Holy Spirit’s blue steel spire can be seen for miles around.
Services take place on:
1st Saturday of the month. Mossy Church, 11am - 1pm.
3rd Sunday of the month. Informal, interactive service called ‘Encounter’ at 10am.
4th Sunday of the month. Modern language Holy Communionat 10am.

Tea/Coffee is served after the Sunday morning service.

The church is fitted with a hearing-loop, has wheelchair access and a toilet with baby changing facilities and disabled access. There is a small car park next to the church.

 

ST PAUL’S HALL

St Paul’s Hall is a parish and community asset located next to St Paul’s Church in Ashby. As well as being used for church activities it is hired out to community organisations and individuals. 

The building has a large hall, a small hall and a kitchen.

The large hall has a stage and is suitable for stage productions, exhibitions, fund-raising events, parties, dances etc.

Both halls are fully wheelchair accessible and have a hearing loop system. As well as male and female toilet facilities there is also a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
